Head of Trade
Mission: Build and lead the Six Stories growth engine to deliver predictable, profitable revenue across the UK & internationally.
THE ROLE
The Head of Trade is responsible for building, leading, and scaling the commercial and growth engine at Six Stories. This role owns the weekly trading performance of the business - ensuring that traffic, conversion, retention, and spend come together in a predictable, profitable system.
This is a leadership role, not a solo operator role. You will set direction, build process, hire experts, and create the heartbeat of the business. You will ensure our ecommerce experience, paid media, CRM, and trading plans are aligned behind clear commercial priorities - driving pace, clarity, and accountability.
You will work closely with Brand, Creative, Product, Ops and Finance to achieve ambitious growth across the UK and scale internationally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Commercial Ownership & Weekly Trading Performance
Own revenue, traffic, CVR, AOV, MER, return rates, and contribution margin.
Build a rigorous weekly trading rhythm with clear actions, insights, and priorities.
Lead trade meetings and ensure every function knows “what matters this week.”
Make fast decisions on spend, stock pushes, promotions, and priorities.
2. Build & Lead the Growth Engine (Paid, CRM, Ecommerce)
Create and manage cross-functional growth plans.
Oversee Paid Media strategy executed by specialists.
Lead CRM direction and improve retention.
Own site performance and CRO.
Create quarterly and monthly trading plans.
3. Leadership & Team Building
Build a high-performing growth team.
Create clarity in roles, responsibilities, KPIs.
Hold people accountable kindly but firmly.
4. International Growth - US Expansion Priority
Lead commercial scaling strategy for the US.
Adapt trading, pricing, creative, and acquisition strategies.
Test, learn, scale market-specific opportunities.
5. Ecommerce Excellence & Customer Experience
Own onsite journey end-to-end.
Optimise PDPs, navigation, content, sizing confidence, and checkout.
Ensure trading decisions reflect stock, seasonality, and insight.
Lead CRO initiatives.
6. Financial & Commercial Decision-Making
Understand contribution and margin.
Partner with Finance on budgets and forecasting.
Ensure spend aligns with efficiency targets.
Drive SKU and category-level insight.

Senior-level ecommerce trading.
Proven revenue, CVR, and contribution impact.
Leadership of cross-functional teams.
Exposure to Paid, CRM, CRO, Ecommerce.
Scale-up or challenger brand experience preferred.
US or international growth experience beneficial.
